Anita Dunn and Chairman Mao … and Some Perspective

"So who is Anita Dunn?" you may ask. She is Obama’s White House Communications Director but does have a long history as a Democratic political operative. Dunn was involved in Obama’s Presidential campaign and was the director of communications, policy and research operations for Obama for America. Not only is she a top advisor to Obama but she is also married to his personal lawyer.

She is one of the Obama Administration officials who attacked Fox News by charging that "it's opinion journalism masquerading as news" and that “The reality of it is that Fox News often operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party."

Her notoriety has skyrocketed with the outrageous, indefensible and radical comments that she delivered in a speech before high school students in Maryland. In the speech (as seen in the video below) she stated that:

“The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Zedong and Mother Theresa -- not often coupled with each other, but the two people I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point which is: you're going to make choices; you're going to challenge; you're going to say why not; you're going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before. But here's the deal: These are your choices, they are no one else's. In 1947, when Mao Zedong was being challenged within his own party on his plan to basically take China over. Chiang Kai-shek and the Nationalist Chinese held the cities, they had the army, they had the air force, they had everything on their side. And people said, "How can you win? How can you do this? How can you do this, against all of the odds against you?" And Mao Zedong said, you know, "You fight your war, and I'll fight mine.”

New Jersey Elementary School Forces Students to Sing Songs Exalting Obama

In an egregious example of leftist political indoctrination in school, 20 young children in a Burlington, N.J. elementary school were taught several songs that exalted Barack Obama. They contained praise of his ideas, plans and “accomplishments”. There were also campaign slogans thrown in as well for more adulation. One outraged father who has two children at the school stated that he "felt this was reminiscent of 1930s Germany, and the indoctrination of children to worship their leader (sic – Adolf Hitler)."

Despite the warranted outrage from both parents and the public, the involved teachers indicated essentially that this was entirely appropriate and they would have no issues doing this again. The response of the school’s superintendent was wretchedly unapologetic. This partisan favoritism and indoctrination has no place in schools at any level. You can be absolutely sure that if these same songs were about George Bush, Al (the Charlatan) Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be leading vilifying protests claiming racism and most of the news media would be camped outside the school with round the clock coverage.

Delineating the Mutually Beneficial Relationship of ACORN and Obama Before the Presidential Election

There has been a tremendous amount of information revealed recently by a few enterprising and brave private citizens conducting undercover sting operations that detailed the pervasive and extreme culture of corruption within ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). It was no secret that corrupt and illegal activities were being conducted by this large organization. However, because of their radical and left wing ideology, Congress and most of the media actively chose to ignore the group and even suppressed information especially as related to Obama’s association with them. Aside from Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and a few others at Fox News, their illicit activities have remained egregiously uninvestigated.

In her June 25th, 2008 Blog, Michelle Malkin presaged the publicity and notoriety that ACORN would be associated with particularly with regard to Barack Obama and his ascendancy on the national political scene. She wrote that: “This left-wing group takes in 40 percent of its revenues from American taxpayers — you and me — and has leveraged nearly four decades of government subsidies to fund affiliates that promote the welfare state and undermine capitalism and self-reliance, some of which have been implicated in perpetuating illegal immigration and encouraging voter fraud.”

With regard to the relationship with Obama, she noted that: “He cut his ideological teeth working with ACORN as a “community organizer” and legal representative. Naturally, ACORN’s political action committee has warmly endorsed his presidential candidacy. According to ACORN, Obama trained its Chicago members in leadership seminars; in turn, ACORN volunteers worked on his campaigns. Obama also sat on the boards of the Woods Fund and Joyce Foundation, both of which poured money into ACORN’s coffers. ACORN head Maude Hurd gushes that Obama is the candidate who “best understands and can affect change on the issues ACORN cares about” — like ensuring their massive pipeline to your hard-earned money.”
