Another Sign Of A Tyrannical Government Under Obama?

A silent, non-disruptive protest by a 71 year old military veteran during a Hillary Clinton speech was aggressively and unwarrantedly removed from the audience and arrested, sustaining multiple bruises and cuts in the process.

Another sign of tyranny and intolerance from the Obama Administration. (See American Government Is Becoming Tyrannical Under Obama)

It is a sign of danger and a double standard.

Read and view the video below.

Veteran's Group Demands Apology From Sec. of State Clinton
Claims vet was manhandled for silent protest
February 18, 2011

(NATIONAL) -- Could it be the U.S. government thinks peaceful, civilian protest against government is fine on the streets of Cairo, Egypt but not on U.S. soil?

As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave a speech at George Washington University yesterday condemning governments that arrest protestors and do not allow free expression - and lauding freedom of speech on the Internet - 71-year-old military veteran Ray McGovern was grabbed from the audience in plain view of her by police and an unidentified official in plain clothes and hustled out of the building and, according to McGovern and his supporters, was “brutalized and left bleeding in jail.”

What McGovern did was simply remain standing silently in the audience and turned his back on her as Secretary Clinton began her speech.

That was it.

McGovern, a veteran Army officer who also worked as a C.I.A. analyst for 27 years, was wearing Veterans for Peace t-shirt.

Blind-sided by security officers who pounced upon him, McGovern remarked, as he was hauled out the door, "So this is America?"

According to Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, attorney with the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund, “For this peaceful expression of dissent, he ended up bruised, bloodied, arrested, and jailed. Secretary Clinton never paused, continuing her speech lecturing other countries about the need to allow freedom of expression and dissent, while Mr. McGovern was hauled out in front of her.”

McGovern was later found to have his arm covered with bruises. The metal handcuffs were fastened so tightly that his wrists were cut and some blood flowed from the cuts.

After being held by local police, McGovern was told he was being charged with disorderly conduct.

Watch the incident in the video below.

So How Do The Troops Really Feel About Obama?

This pretty much sums up the military's view of Obama.

Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry Suggests Military Action To Address Border Issues

For a long time we have been stating that not only has Obama been negligent regarding securing our borders with Mexico in particular but he has also willfully adopted the position of allowing it to remain porous for political reasons to the detriment of national security and individual safety. Thousands of Americans have been needlessly murdered or subjected to other violent and non-violent crimes perpetrated by these invaders as a direct result of such wanton neglect. (The now convicted murderer of Chandra Levy, the high profile incident occurring in Washington in 2001, was himself an illegal alien.)

We strongly feel that Obama’s incompetence and arrogant, selfish motivation for consciously preventing our borders from being secured from illegal aliens, terrorist, and Mexican narco-gangs and even suing Arizona for taking actions that comport with federal law in order to protect its citizens, are strong grounds for impeachment. He has wantonly violated a basic responsibility of the Presidency.

Gov. 'Blackjack' Perry?
Investor’s Business Daily   11/19/2010

As Mexico buckles, Rick Perry's warnings are starting to sound like prophecy.

Border: As lawlessness spreads in Mexico, the governor of Texas speaks of sending in U.S. troops — a dramatic statement underscoring the fact that the region needs help and isn't getting it.

Attending a conference of governors in San Diego on Thursday, Rick Perry startled some by saying defeating Mexico's cartels may require U.S. military intervention.

"You have a situation on the border where American citizens are being killed," he told MSNBC. "I think we have to use every aspect of law enforcement that we have, including the military. I think you have the same situation as you had in Colombia. Obviously, Mexico has to approve any type of assistance that we can give them."

That may sound extreme, but it underlines that Washington has shortchanged Mexico on even military aid that would help it win its drug war. It has also done little for border states such as Texas and Arizona that bear the brunt of the war, other than deliver lawsuits.

To Washington, the only motive for states' efforts to resist the violent drug cartels is racism, not security.

But Perry knows what he's talking about.

A day earlier, spillover from the war in Mexico took on a quite literal meaning when a dead body clad in cartel-style combat gear washed up on the U.S. bank of the Rio Grande near Salineno, Texas.

According to the Monitor daily in McAllen, police had no idea who he was. But it's likely he's another hash mark to the 31,000-plus death toll of Mexico's war since 2006.

Meanwhile, just eleven blocks away from the Texas town of Roma, hundreds of war refugees from Mier, Mexico, huddle in the town of Miguel Aleman after being forced from their town by the brutal Los Zetas cartel, which vandalized and looted the town.

Los Zetas want Mier for reasons barbarian marauders do — the town sits at a strategic choke point of highways to large cities on both sides of the border. Whoever controls Mier controls routes to them. The Zetas, made up largely of Mexican military renegades, think in military terms.

That's why Mier and this region keep coming up in the news.

Thursday, Mexican troops blew away 11 Zetas in the area and the Zetas took five military men hostage. Mexico watchers noted that the directness of the battle in Mier suggests the Zetas mean to control that town at all costs. Their intensity was seen last month just north of Mier at the Falcon Reservoir, where an American jet-skier was killed and the Mexican police official investigating was beheaded.

The nearby Falcon Dam was also threatened by Zetas with destruction last April, which if carried out would have flooded both sides of the border and displaced 6 million people.

If these realities and other outrages don't wake us up to the fact that our border is now a war zone, what will? War zones require a military response, and as Gov. Perry makes his warning, the prospect of an expedition against the bandits, similar to the ones Gen. John J. "Blackjack" Pershing led in 1916 and 1917, grows more likely.

That's doubly so as the war gets bigger.

Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, speaking by conference call Thursday, said the Obama administration has yet to present a "comprehensive and credible plan" to address national security threats along the border.

Plan Merida, a $1.4 billion package of training and equipment aid to help Mexico fight the cartels, remains largely unspent, with only 9% delivered, according to a 2009 report. That's negligence.

Meanwhile, a 44-page "Broken Neighbor, Broken Border" congressional field investigation, released Friday by Rep. John Carter of Texas, warns that law enforcement agencies in Texas and Arizona are being overwhelmed by the Mexican war's spillover, spending a third of their budgets and manpower on it.

Worst of all is the condescending attitude of the Department of Homeland Security's Janet Napolitano, who snidely told Perry that if he wants border protection, it's up to him to pay for it with Texas National Guard troops. Is she saying border protection isn't her job? If so, that's dereliction of duty.

As Mexico buckles, Washington fails on every front to admit the problem. It raises the possibility that troops really will have to be used — as a last resort. Perry's warning in that case will be prophecy.

Sen. Barbara Boxer Lumps America In With Iran, North Korea and Iran

Liberals too often take any opportunity to denigrate America either directly or indirectly such as by (guilt by) association. This is exactly what the uber liberal Sen. Barbara Boxer did when commenting on the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.

She stated that:

“We now stand with this rule with countries like Iran, North Korea and Pakistan in banning gays and lesbians from military service.”

No matter what your position is on gays and lesbians in the military, likening our country and its military with dictatorial regimes like Iran and North Korea is gratuitous and disgraceful particularly by a U.S. Senator. Of course, she is from Liberal Land, America bashing California so it is not entirely a surprise though such comments should not be condoned.

When near insolvent California comes begging the House of Representatives for bailout money, Republicans should just remember comments such as these and from Pelosi and refuse any financial assistance.

Sen. Barbara Boxer Likens U.S. to Iran, North Korea and Pakistan Because U.S. Bans Homosexuals From Military

( - Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) today likened the United States of America to Iran, North Korea and Pakistan because those nations also do not allow homosexuals in their militaries.

Boxer likened the U.S.A. to the Communist regime in North Korea, the Islamic regime in Iran and the Pakistani government at a press conference in which she called for repealing the ban on homosexuals in the military during the lameduck session of Congress, which is taking place now before the new members elected on Nov. 2 can arrive in Washington, D.C. and replace the members who are retiring or who were defeated.

“We now stand with this rule with countries like Iran, North Korea and Pakistan in banning gays and lesbians from military service,” said Boxer. “Our brave young men and women fight alongside allies like Australia, the United Kingdom and others who allow gays and lesbians to serve openly. Let’s not stand with Pakistan and with North Korea and Iran.”

The law in question, as reported previously, is Title 10, U.S. Code Subsection 654. This law states: “The prohibition against homosexual conduct is a long-standing element of military law that continues to be necessary in the unique circumstances of military service.”

It also says that a “member of the armed forces shall be separated from the armed forces if one or more of the following findings is made and approved in accordance with procedures set forth in such regulations.”These include: “That the member has engaged in, attempted to engage in, or solicited another to engage in a homosexual act or acts ...

“That the member has stated that he or she is a homosexual or bisexual, or words to that effect …

“That the member has married or attempted to marry a person known to be of the same biological sex.”

Boxer appeared alongside Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), an Independent who caucuses with the Democrats and who is a prime sponsor of the measure to repeal Title 10, USC 654, which is attached to a Defense authorization bill that passed in the House of Representatives but has yet to pass in the Senate.

President Barack Obama is pressuring Congress to repeal the law in the final weeks of the 111th Congress and before the Republican-dominated House of Representatives comes into power next year. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has stated that he will bring the measure to the floor after Thanksgiving.

Obama, You Are Not Worthy To Visit Veteran Cemeteries

Obama made clear that he has no intention of visiting Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial day and instead will vacation back home in Chicago so that he can sleep in his own bed. To appear that he has some semblance of concern for those who have died in war, he will visit a nearby cemetery in Illinois.

We say: Don’t even bother, Obama.

The interminable disrespect that you have shown for America and those who have lost their lives fighting for our rights and freedoms as well as those of people worldwide is reprehensible and unforgivable. These dead patriots would turn in their graves knowing your intentional dismantling of our country’s offensive and defensive military capabilities which is in accord with your radical anti-American agenda.

Don’t desecrate by your presence these cemeteries filled with American heroes who were willing to die in defense of their country.

Obama, you are not worthy of that privilege.

The President's Memorial Daze
Investors Business Daily   05/28/2010

Leadership: Our commander in chief was to miss the wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery to go on vacation. Other presidents have missed it, but never at wartime.

All presidents deserve a vacation, and no president is ever off the clock. But we are at war, and Memorial Day at Arlington has special significance even in peacetime. Those who defend President Obama's decision to take time off were not so understanding whenever President George W. Bush spent time at his Crawford, Texas, ranch.

Obama was to be in his old Chicago-area stomping grounds, and those who attacked Bush for taking his vacations are defending Obama's right to do so. As leftist columnist David Corn so eloquently put it: "Does it matter if Obama throws some leaves on a tomb?" Yes, it matters.

Media Matters, the George Soros-connected house organ of the loony left, points out that George H.W. Bush also missed the Arlington ceremony in 1992 while campaigning. But we were not at war in 1992 when he attended a ceremony in Maine. And he was a bona fide war hero who risked his life for his country and who did not need to prove his commitment to the military.

President George W. Bush also missed Arlington's Memorial Day ceremonies in 2002, when he joined Veterans Affairs Secretary Anthony Principi, Secretary of State Colin Powell and a bipartisan congressional delegation for services at the American cemetery in Normandy, France, honoring those who paid the ultimate sacrifice on D-Day.

President Obama was to attend ceremonies and deliver remarks at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill. We hope he was to be there to honor this particular location and those who are buried there, not because of its geographical proximity to his other plans.

And no, we don't think it's sufficient to send as an Obama stand-in at Arlington our silver-tongued vice president, Joe Biden, who thinks Brussels and not Washington, D.C., should be "the capital of the free world."

The Associated Press says Obama "will sleep in his own bed for the first time in more than a year." The White House isn't exactly some roadside campaign motel, and those buried at Arlington will sleep forever.

This is the president whose administration views the terrorist attacks of 9/11 as a "man caused disaster" and who says those who died in Iraq and Afghanistan paid the ultimate sacrifice in an "overseas contingency operation." Instead of stirring rhetoric, we get boilerplate bureaucratese read off a teleprompter.

The military has taken a beating under this administration. From the shooting down of the F-22 Raptor to the abandonment of ground-based missile interceptors in Europe, unilateral disarmament is now official policy. We won't test old nukes or build new ones. We tell our enemies what and how many weapons we have and when we'll use them. Our defense budget is at pre-9/11 levels.

Our defense secretary says we don't need billion-dollar destroyers to chase down pirates as the Chinese build aircraft carriers. In December 2009, President Obama journeyed to West Point, or the "enemy camp," as MSNBC's Chris Matthews described it, to attack the premise of the Iraq War and the president who won it.

Then there were the national spectacle and disgrace of watching our commander in chief say and do nothing while three Navy SEALs were put on trial for allegedly punching a captured terrorist who murdered American contractors in Iraq. We'd say a gesture of sympathy and support from this president was in order.

Yes, it's a day of hot dogs, hamburgers and family fun. It's also a day we honor those who died to give us the freedom to enjoy all that.

We hoped President Obama would go to Arlington.

When Obama Is Bowing To Leaders of Other Countries He May Also Be Saying to Americans: “Kiss My Ass”

The following is an incisive assessment of the scandalous and reprehensible attitudes and of Obama and the Democrats. In fact, Obama’s inept, corrosive and seditious body of work of should earn him consideration for impeachment after the November elections.

Obama Administration and Democrats Kowtow to Other Countries While Scorning Those Who Have Died For Ours
Posted by Lori Ziganto      5/26/2010  from RedState

In the past week, the Obama administration and fellow Democrats have let their true feelings for America known more than ever before. Well, at least more blatantly. They aren’t even bothering to hide it now and have lost all shame. No longer content with merely worshipping at the altar of multiculturalism, they are now going out of their way to boast that they believe that practically any other country is actually superior to America, and that the men and women who have died fighting for our country aren’t worthy of honor and respect.

This has been clear for many years, to those who were paying attention, evidenced by the ever growing cries for some ill-conceived, thinly veiled diversity and tolerance objective, as well as the constant touting of the concept of “citizens of the world”.  Our own Supreme Court started using European laws on which to base their decisions on American law, for goodness sake. Any complaints were met with “You just don’t understand, being philistines and all. Also, shut up.

But the current crop of Democrats have taken it to new lows; they are past rock bottom and are now frantically burrowing through the Earth’s crust. Since attaining power, everything they’ve done has been an attempt to fundamentally change our “defective” Constitution and country. They are trying to create a federal government involved in and in control of every aspect of our lives, even the foods we eat. They have attempted and continue to attempt to morally equate America with those who wish to kill us . They have actively tried to weaken our military and are attempting to further their belief that America is not special. We don’t need no stinkin’ Exceptionalism! Only, we do. And we are.

Obama took to it right away, and started it off with his incessant and seemingly involuntary reactive bowing, done whilst jetting off on his “Apologizing for America” tour. Then, this week, Democrats showed their true colors, in a way that can no longer be ignored, even by the most stubborn.  Congressional Democrats cheered - and gave standing ovations - to Mexican President Calderon, as he demonized Arizona and its citizens and denigrated this country as a whole. As I said then, not only do the Democrats fail to figuratively stand up for America, but they literally stand up for and applaud those who seek to condemn it. Worse, they were wearing bracelets, protesting and bashing American citizens, while cheering a foreign leader who was doing the same. From our House floor.

Earlier this month, Joe Biden, always the last to know things, took the diminishing of America on tour. No one bothered to inform him that was no longer necessary. We now invite foreign leaders here to do the bashing for us. Poor Joe. Always in the dark. Biden spoke before the European Union and informed everyone that he believes that Brussels, not Washington, DC, is the “capital of the free world.” What’s wrong with all you patriots? America being the shining city on the hill and the beacon of freedom for the rest of the world is so old school!

Worse, not only does the Obama administration believe that America is passe, they scorn the very men and women who have been, and still are, the greatest force for good in the World - Our military. Our President will not be honoring the fallen, nor those currently serving, at Arlington cemetery on Memorial Day. In wartime no less. The for real kind, not the Dick Blumenthal kind.  He needs a vacation, you see. He needs some rest after all that complex thinking and nuanced insight that resulted in his deep analysis of “just plug the damn hole” as a fix for the BP oil spill. Over a month later.

That’s the spin, at least. But, it’s not even the point. It’s his pattern of behavior and the reasons for it. He first showed his disdain for the military when he decided to jet off to Copenhagen to try to score the Olympics while troops were dying in Afghanistan. And he had talked to the Commander once. In two months. He cared more about serving the Olympics up to Chicago than he did about our soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He continued dithering over that same troop increase decision while he instead chose to focus on his whiny pants “war” on Fox News. At war with the Fourth Estate, he abandoned the 4th Infantry Division. As Commander in Chief, he chose to worry more about Fox News than foxholes. While our men and women died. While still in the midst of his raging indecision, he further showed what little respect he has for those who serve with this flippant remark at, yes, a photo op.

Obama arrived on the base 3:19 p.m. local time (1 a.m. Eastern Standard Time), and received a rousing welcome from 1,500 troops in camouflage uniforms, many holding cameras or pointing cell phones to snap pictures.

“You guys make a pretty good photo op,” the president said.

Do you know what you make, Obama? A pretty awful example of a leader and, frankly, a man. In your defense, at least you are succeeding at being a pretty good example of a Worst President Ever. I suggest you stay far away from Jimmy Carter; he’s going to be ticked that you stole that crown from him. Although, at least even Carter could pronounce the word Corpsman, I suspect.

There is a pattern. A pattern of pandering to other nations and attempting to apologize for America’s greatness. Now, they are also unforgivably scorning those who bravely help to make the entire world a better place.  Who, at the bare minimum, give up their young adulthoods and the innocence of that age to protect and defend their Country, their Countrymen and to aid countless others around the World in their struggles against tyranny, genocide and other atrocities.

The greatest force for good that the World has ever known is powered by those men and women. Those who lost their lives, cut short in their prime, while in the line of duty deserve honor and respect.

Our President is not doing so; he can’t even be bothered to lay a wreath at Arlington cemetery. Perhaps it would help if he had a protest bracelet to wear, proclaiming America is meany pants? Maybe he could force himself to care then.

Capturing the True Bravery, Integrity and Honor of Our Military As Contrasted to the Derogatory Comments of Obama

The following video honors the brave American men and women who voluntarily serve in our military and are willing to sacrifice their lives in order to protect us, our rights and liberties. Contrast this with the derogatory statements and destructive actions of “president” Obama whose very goals seem to be the control and subjugation of Americans.

These fine individuals serve as a source of hope that our future can once again be a bright one here in this country.

Is A Military Coup Even A Remote Possibility In America?

The following piece assessing the not so far-fetched possibility of a military coup against Obama was written by columnist John L. Perry for Newsmax and first appeared on Sept. 29, 2010. It has since been removed from the website but has been published on numerous sites subsequently.

As bad as the political situation was at that time, it is light years more grave now. His analysis and assertions are even more applicable today which makes the plausibility of a coup less of a chimera.

Obama Risks a Domestic Military Intervention
John L. Perry

There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America's military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the "Obama problem." Don't dismiss it as unrealistic.

America isn't the Third World. If a military coup does occur here it will be civilized. That it has never happened doesn't mean it wont. Describing what may be afoot is not to advocate it. So, view the following through military eyes:

# Officers swear to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." Unlike enlisted personnel, they do not swear to "obey the orders of the president of the United States."

# Top military officers can see the Constitution they are sworn to defend being trampled as American institutions and enterprises are nationalized.

# They can see that Americans are increasingly alarmed that this nation, under President Barack Obama, may not even be recognizable as America by the 2012 election, in which he will surely seek continuation in office.

# They can see that the economy -- ravaged by deficits, taxes, unemployment, and impending inflation -- is financially reliant on foreign lender governments.

# They can see this president waging undeclared war on the intelligence community, without whose rigorous and independent functions the armed services are rendered blind in an ever-more hostile world overseas and at home.

# They can see the dismantling of defenses against missiles targeted at this nation by avowed enemies, even as America's troop strength is allowed to sag.

# They can see the horror of major warfare erupting simultaneously in two, and possibly three, far-flung theaters before America can react in time.

# They can see the nation's safety and their own military establishments and honor placed in jeopardy as never before.

So, if you are one of those observant military professionals, what do you do?

Wait until this president bungles into losing the war in Afghanistan, and Pakistan's arsenal of nuclear bombs falls into the hands of militant Islam?

Wait until Israel is forced to launch air strikes on Iran's nuclear-bomb plants, and the Middle East explodes, destabilizing or subjugating the Free World?

What happens if the generals Obama sent to win the Afghan war are told by this president (who now says, "I'm not interested in victory") that they will be denied troops they must have to win? Do they follow orders they cannot carry out, consistent with their oath of duty? Do they resign en masse?

Or do they soldier on, hoping the 2010 congressional elections will reverse the situation? Do they dare gamble the national survival on such political whims?

Anyone who imagines that those thoughts are not weighing heavily on the intellect and conscience of America's military leadership is lost in a fool's fog.

Will the day come when patriotic general and flag officers sit down with the president, or with those who control him, and work out the national equivalent of a "family intervention," with some form of limited, shared responsibility?

Imagine a bloodless coup to restore and defend the Constitution through an interim administration that would do the serious business of governing and defending the nation. Skilled, military-trained, nation-builders would replace accountability-challenged, radical-left commissars. Having bonded with his twin teleprompters, the president would be detailed for ceremonial speech-making.

Military intervention is what Obama's exponentially accelerating agenda for "fundamental change" toward a Marxist state is inviting upon America. A coup is not an ideal option, but Obama's radical ideal is not acceptable or reversible.

Unthinkable? Then think up an alternative, non-violent solution to the Obama problem. Just don't shrug and say, "We can always worry about that later."

In the 2008 election, that was the wistful, self-indulgent, indifferent reliance on abnegation of personal responsibility that has sunk the nation into this morass.
