During his two year tenure as “president”, Obama has unmasked his true intentions and character: an unrelenting arrogant, contemptuous, narcissistic, racist, elitist Progressive who intends to transform the American political, economic and social system in direct opposition to the wishes of an overwhelming majority of citizens in order to realize his ideological goals. His agenda is authoritarian control or, in essence, tyranny and has been accomplishing much of this through his czars and fellow Progressives with regulations and rules that often bypass Congress.

In isolation, Obama would have little success. Unfortunately, he and a cadre of Progressives in high places have worked to advance the far left causes which have been immensely aided by the fifth column press which is complicit in this revolution. We all know the names of some of these noxious Progressive politicians who are bent on undermining and destroying our country: Hillary Clinton, Barney Frank, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Pete Stark. (See yesterday’s post : Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s Outrageous Statements Made In An Arab Country Regarding the Tucson Shooter for just one example of the outrageous, destructive and irresponsible actions of Hillary Clinton)

We must vanquish this revolution being perpetrated by liberal Democrats and Progressives from within the government, doing whatever it takes to neutralize these individuals and their destructive actions. The November massacre of Democratic politicians at the voting booth is a start but we must continue on relentlessly. It is imperative that we fervently support the conservatives and Republicans in Congress in order to help regain our stolen rights and freedoms as well as reestablish sane fiscal policies.

Arrogant and Authoritarian: Barack Obama and the New Progressives
Chuck Rogér January 12, 2011

Blindness to physical reality, denial of human nature, and a consuming desire to use government force to impose fantasies on fellow human beings. Welcome to the mind of today's American "progressive."
Progressives veil sophomoric schemes in eloquent verbiage. Barack Obama's mastery of the technique got him elected president. Sixty-nine and a half million Americans would not have voted for Obama had he failed to conceal the differences between his campaign spiel and the contents of his heart.

Convinced of the goodness of their intentions, ideologues like Obama mistake tyranny for noble action. And to achieve their noble objectives, today's progressives bend the truth far more than did predecessors like John Dewey, Woodrow Wilson, and FDR. Yet Obama has increasingly adopted a more direct modus operandi since becoming president. The "centrist" disguise has disintegrated.

Progressivism initially appeared on the American scene in response to problems that cried for solutions. Peter Berkowitz describes the movement's birth.
The original progressivism arose in the 1880s and 1890s and flourished during the first two decades of the 20th century. It is associated with, among others, Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, scholars Fredrick Jackson Turner and Charles Beard, reformer Jane Addams, theologian Walter Rauschenbusch, Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis, philosopher and educator John Dewey, and journalist and New Republic founder Herbert Croly.

At their best, the original progressives responded to dramatic social and economic upheavals generated by the industrial revolution, opposed real Gilded Age abuses, and promoted salutary social and political reforms. They took the side of the exploited, the weak, and the wronged. They fought political corruption and sought to make political institutions more responsive to the will of the people. And they advanced programs and policies that, in a changing world, brought liberal democracy in America more in line with the Declaration of Independence's and the Constitution's original promise of freedom and equality for all.

So some original progressives had a positive influence on the country. But history shows that the ideas of zealots like Wilson, Croly, Dewey, and FDR had devastating effects. Government size and intrusion into business and private life have mushroomed. America's education system has decayed into a vehicle for infecting young people with pie-in-the-sky misconceptions of human nature and twisted versions of the American story.

Decades since the progressive movement began, a clear picture has developed of rabid ideologues like Margaret Sanger, whose racism incited her to conceive the eugenic "Negro Project" to reduce the "inferior" black population. Progressive minds like Sanger's, capable of spawning the depravity of Planned Parenthood, are dark places.

Today, the truth stares Americans in the face. While progressivism was born of an earnest desire to advance personal freedom, the ideology devolved into a collection of approaches that would lock people in the chains of a centrally planned society, with progressive elites withholding the keys to the locks. The elitists truly believe that legislative and regulatory shackles can remold human nature to conform to an impossibly perfect vision.

We need look no farther than our progressive-in-chief for the embodiment of the stubborn pseudo-intellectual who views himself as society's infallible guiding hand. Barack Obama wants government to "spread the wealth" by taking wealth from high earners who spread it more broadly and deeply than government ever could. Our president thinks that Americans who are concerned about decaying values and explosive federal spending are too "scared" to trust cherry-picked "facts and science." Obama believes that people are wasting valuable time "pushing away challenges, looking backwards" -- presumably focusing on really dreadful stuff like wholesome values, common sense, and facts evidenced by history. Barack the magic driver says that Republicans critical of his magic bus "can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back."

A hundred years ago, Herbert Croly foretold the Obama mindset, declaring that "the average American individual is morally and intellectually inadequate to a serious and consistent conception of his responsibilities as a democrat1." Peter Berkowitz suggests that today's progressives probably find Croly's declaration "mortifying." I think Berkowitz misses the mark. Hillary Clinton, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Time's Joe Klein, U.C. Berkley linguist George Lakoff, Massachusetts Representative Barney Frank, and countless other progressives routinely make an exhibition of their insufferably arrogant elitism. Obama's superior manner and California Representative Pete Stark's outrageous impudence typify the demeanor of today's enlightened ones.

With a smugness celebrated by soul mates in the media, Barack Obama inspires American progressives to flaunt their haughtiness. Describing the posturing that accompanies the haughtiness, Berkowitz observes that Obama's techniques constitute an "effort to push dramatic transformation under the cover of moderation, pragmatism, and post-partisanship."

My characterization is more straightforward. The media actively sell Obama's phony "moderation, pragmatism, and post-partisanship" to "cover" actions that are immoderate, impractical, and entirely partisan. Obama purveys doublespeak to convince people of one thing while the illusionist-in-chief does another. Millions of Americans voted for a package of illusions in 2008.

Obamaesque deceit and conceit are easily summarized: progressives sanctify pretty theory as obviously true and condemn ugly reality as necessarily false. Progressives see themselves as incapable of error and believe that rejection of their high-mindedness could be undertaken only by commoners too dim to comprehend what's best.

During the two years after Barack Obama moved to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and Democrats increased their stranglehold on Congress, something became crystal-clear. A hideous infestation called progressivism has uglified the White House and the Democrat Party. The tyrannous legislative and regulatory rampages that Obama and the Democrats undertook made something else clear. Until progressivism is flushed from the party, Democrats must never again be entrusted with substantial influence in government.

Most of us probably would have wanted to or actually would have clobbered Pelosi over the head again, and again and again. Boehner displayed unbelievable restraint despite appearing as if he were considering doing some hammering.

This is the new and quintessential picture of self-control.

This bodes well for the Republican controlled House and, therefore, for freedom loving and hard working Americans.

The arrogance, disdain for the average American, limitless deception, elitism and egregious naked power grab of Obama, Pelosi and the Congressional Democrats in the formulation and corrupt passage of government controlled health care exceeded a level of reprehensibility unparalleled in Washington politics. It irrefutably demonstrates an intention and method for stealing our personal rights and liberties away and providing an irreversible way for the federal government to rule us – not represent us.

This is government by fiat as in many Third World countries – not by legal, Constitutional means. As enumerated below, the Democrats sought to shield this legislation from attempts to change or nullify it and did so in ways that were blatantly unconstitutional and depraved.

The Goldwater Institute is attempting to block a crucial provision of Obamacare: the creation of the Independent Payment Advisory Board which is charged with creating Medicare policies and health care payments. It is an autonomous commission with members appointed by the President that is designed to have no Congressional oversight or be subject to judicial review.

This arrangement wreaks tyranny – and was just what Obama and Pelosi wanted.

The election was one payback for the public’s rebuking of this pernicious legislation. We strongly recommend that the soon to be Republican dominated House impose condign retribution for the depraved actions of these two despicable politicians. It can start, for example, by severely curtailing Obama and Michelle’s White House budgets including for parties, trips, etc.

Keep them on a short leash and punish them financially when possible!

Goldwater Institute Asks Court To Block Key Provision of Federal Health Care Law
Health care bill created ‘untouchable’ Independent Payment Advisory Board

Goldwater Institute News Release
November 16, 2010

PHOENIX – The Goldwater Institute has requested an injunction [1] to block a provision of the federal health care law that prevents Congress from repealing a new agency that would control health care payments. A preliminary injunction is needed so Congress can consider revoking the Independent Payment Advisory Board before the agency has been established.

Among other measures, the federal health care law orders the creation by 2012 of the Independent Payment Advisory Board, an unelected commission that will be free to set Medicare policy and health care payment rates with no meaningful congressional oversight and without the possibility of judicial review. The law also prohibits Congress from acting to repeal the agency in perpetuity, except for a narrow window in 2017.

“Protecting any new federal agency from being repealed by Congress appears to be unprecedented in the history of the United States,” said Diane Cohen, the Goldwater Institute’s lead attorney in this case.

The motion for preliminary injunction has been filed as part of Coons v. Geithner [2], one of nearly two dozen lawsuits around the country challenging the health care law. If granted by U.S. District Judge Murray Snow, the injunction will be the first time that any part of the law has been blocked, said Clint Bolick, litigation director at the Goldwater Institute.

“This injunction would restore power to our elected representatives to repeal an agency with new sweeping powers that are removed from any semblance of legislative, executive, or judicial review,” Mr. Bolick said.

The Goldwater Institute Scharf-Norton Center for Constitutional Litigation represents a number of clients in this lawsuit including U.S. Representatives Jeff Flake, Trent Franks, and John Shadegg of Arizona. The congressmen have supported repeal of the Independent Payment Advisory Board, a 15-member commission appointed by the president that will have far-reaching and uncontrollable powers, Ms Cohen said.

Unlike any other federal commission, the Independent Payment Advisory Board won’t have to follow the basic steps for adopting and enforcing administrative rules. The board’s annual payment schedules and policy proposals can’t be examined by the courts and automatically will become law unless amended by Congress through a difficult and complex procedure.

Finally, even if Congress were to approve a repeal of the board in 2017, following the complex process allowed in the health care law, that repeal automatically would be delayed until 2020.

“No possible reading of the Constitution supports the idea of an unelected, standalone federal board that’s untouchable by both Congress and the courts,” Mr. Bolick said.

In a thoroughly embarrassing move, both House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid passed by a voice vote legislation that runs counter to their ideologies and constituencies and which Obama is planning to veto all because they NEVER READ THE BILL.

What a surprise!

This is yet another example of their confusion, arrogance and incompetence and why there needs to be a wholesale removal of Democrats including Harry Reid and banishment of Pelosi from her Speaker of the House position.

The editorial below elucidates this matter quite well along with the wholly irresponsible goal of the liberals: to prevent lenders from foreclosing on individuals who have just stop paying their mortgages. It is just another example of the Democrats absolving individuals of taking any responsibility for their actions.

However, the rest of us taxpayers will be paying instead!

Senatorial Confusion
Investor’s Business Daily 10/08/2010

Leadership: Egg is all over the faces of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid after a bill to speed foreclosures slipped through Congress. Apparently, they neglected to read it.

It's a month before an election that promises devastation for Democratic senators and congressmen. What's the last thing they need right now?

How about a Democratic president's veto of a bill the Democratic majorities in both houses allowed to pass by voice vote — a piece of legislation that seems designed to anger their liberal base.

With Congress adjourned for the fall campaign, President Obama pocket-vetoed what was described in the media as "a little-known bill" to require federal and state courts to accept notarized documents from other states.

"Little-known" is right, because apparently the entire Democratic leadership didn't know its content — yet let it pass by voice vote, and without debate.

The White House jumped on the Interstate Recognition of Notarizations Act of 2010 after discovering that the legislation smoothed the foreclosure process for lenders.

The left has been having a fit, with the Daily Kos calling it an exacerbation of "the denial of due process for homeowners" in what it calls an ongoing "foreclosure fraud crisis."

The bill's sponsor was a Republican, Rep. Robert Aderholt of Alabama. But no less than Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., squired it through his panel, then let it be known that every Senate office was notified before it passed the floor by voice vote, and that "no concerns or objections had been expressed" by senators. Leahy's office even says the chairman "supports that decision" by President Obama to veto.

Leahy supports a veto of a bill he supported?

Sounds like presidential candidate John Kerry in 2004 saying, "I actually did vote for" the Iraq war "before I voted against it."

Leave aside the whole issue surrounding the bill — that a typo or technical glitch shouldn't stop valid foreclosures from taking place.

What the left is up to right now is a repeat performance of what caused the global financial crisis. But this time, instead of forcing banks to give mortgages to people who aren't qualified, it now wants to prevent lenders from foreclosing on those same people after they've stopped making mortgage payments.

Indeed, the NAACP and the National Council of La Raza last week partnered with Big Labor to demand a nationwide freeze on foreclosures. If these liberal activist groups got their way it would be an attack on the rule of law in America, without which our system of economic freedom simply cannot work.

When mortgage contracts become a joke, people stop honoring them — like any other contract — and the institutions left holding the bag will start dying, taking their employees' livelihoods to the grave with them.

The foreclosure issue aside, the most significant thing we learn from this episode is just how dysfunctional the 111th Congress is.
The Pelosi quote from March that will live in infamy — "we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it" — doesn't just apply to 2,300-page behemoths to take over the national health care system.

It turns out that they're so busy trying to get re-elected — and so engrossed in crafting and negotiating monstrous bills expanding government, setting up new bureaucracies to manage government's vast new powers — they don't know what's happening on the floors of the House and Senate.

Anything might get passed without being read even by the House and Senate Democratic leaderships, let alone rank-and-file members.

The large Democratic majorities in this Congress have already proved their corruption — with Rep. Charles Rangel, a shoe-in for re-election in New York City, getting removed from his chairmanship of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee because of trouble paying his own taxes, and Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., allegedly using TARP funds for family kickbacks. ObamaCare proved their thirst for more and more government power.

Now the addition of rank incompetence completes a poisonous mixture constituting a grave threat to Americans' liberties, as voters mull their options less than a month before Election Day.

In yet another of countless examples of Speaker Pelosi acting like a spoiled dictator wannabe and a nominal representative of American citizens who is out of touch, she has suggested that an investigation should be launched into those groups, individuals, etc. who are against the building of a Ground Zero mosque. What an outrageous consideration!

This is just another example of the maxim that: “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely”. It also highlights the utmost importance of the November vote and ousting her from power.

Pelosi Suggests Probe of Funding Sources Behind Opposition to Mosque Near Ground Zero
FoxNews.com 8/18/ 2010

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is suggesting a coordinated effort is behind the opposition to a proposed mosque and community center near Ground Zero, saying the whole dispute has been "ginned up" for political purposes and she supports a probe into those opponents.

Commenting publicly for the first time on the Park 51 project, Pelosi said the issue was posing a distraction and that some organized force is behind it.

"There is no question that there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some," she said in remarks posted Tuesday in a video on the San Francisco Chronicle website. "And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque (is) being funded."

On Wednesday, Pelosi's office clarified that the speaker is not calling for a "congressional inquiry," though she still supports looking into the funding of the mosque's opponents as well as its patrons.

"I support the statement made by the Interfaith Alliance that 'We agree with the (Anti-Defamation League) that there is a need for transparency about who is funding the effort to build this Islamic center. At the same time, we should also ask who is funding the attacks against the construction of the center,'" she said.

Pelosi first weighed in Tuesday after both President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid expressed their views on the project that has touched off a national debate about religious freedom and political correctness. Obama said Wednesday he has no regrets over his remarks that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in the U.S. A day later, he claimed that he wasn't endorsing the specifics of the mosque plan.

Polls show that a strong majority of Americans oppose the mosque's construction site while respecting the right of Muslims to practice their religion.

Though Obama and Reid appeared to be on opposite ends of the spectrum over the issue, Pelosi came out agnostic, saying the dispute over what she described as a "zoning issue" needs to be decided by New Yorkers.

"I think everybody respects the right of everyone in the country to express their religious beliefs. ... The decision, though, as to how to go forward in New York, is up to New York," Pelosi told local reporters in San Francisco. "I look to my colleagues in New York. Some of them have different views on the subject. It's up to them to work it out."

That may have been the position Obama was trying to take when he first weighed in Friday during a Ramadan dinner at the White House.

The president appeared to support the mosque project, but the White House later clarified that he was underscoring the developers' right to build the center -- not endorsing it outright.

Reid afterward came out in opposition to the project. A strong majority of Americans say they oppose the site for construction of the mosque, but not the constitutional right of Muslims to worship.

A Republican aide ridiculed Pelosi's claim that there was a "conspiracy" to oppose the project.

"If the speaker needs help finding the heart of the 'GOP GZM Conspiracy,' I urge her to ask Sasquatch," the aide told Fox News. "His office is behind the black helicopter hangar between the unicorn pen and the leprechaun's pot of gold."

David Malpass, a New York Republican candidate seeking the Sept. 14 primary nomination to challenge Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in November, issued a statement Wednesday saying Pelosi should be investigating foreign funding for the project.

"But instead she is turning her ire on concerned Americans, including families, firefighters and other first responders who care deeply about this issue. What she is doing is unconscionable," Malpass said. "New Yorkers deserve better, the heroes of September 11th deserve better, and I'm calling on Kirsten Gillibrand to immediately reject Speaker Pelosi's misguided and insensitive remarks."

A few lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have tried to dial down tensions over the debate.

New York Gov. David Paterson has renewed efforts to broker a deal over the project. After offering his help and the possibility that state land could be used for an alternative site, a Paterson spokesman told The Wall Street Journal that staff members are working with the developers. He said no "formal discussions" have taken place involving Paterson, but that a meeting will be set for the "near future."

However, project organizers denied there was any consideration being given to moving the mosque. A written statement from the Cordoba Initiative, the group pushing to build the Islamic center in lower Manhattan, said no meetings have been scheduled between Imam Feisel Abdul Rauf and Paterson, "nor have there been any communications between the offices of Cordoba Initiative and the governor."

Sharif El-Gamal of SoHo Properties, which owns the property at Park 51, said it's absolutely wrong to suggest that the site is being abandoned.

But a firefighter who is suing to prevent the existing site -- a former Burlington Coat Factory -- from being demolished filed a revised lawsuit Friday against the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission, saying the developers don't even own the site outright but shares ownership with the public utility company, ConEdison.

"The revelation that a public utility owns part of the site raises a whole host of new legal questions and requires the involvement of a new public agency and possibly additional public hearings. That, coupled with the Landmarks Commission's procedural violations and deviations from administrative precedent, only strengthens our legal challenge," said attorney Jay Sekulow, chief counsel at the American Center for Law and Justice.

Oblivious to historical equivalents, benighted and belligerent, Obama and Congressional Democrats fervently continue to pursue and implement disastrous policies on the American public which will have apocalyptic effects on our country.

It seems to be an unimaginable possibility to have so many incompetent, arrogant and uninformed people in one place. Unfortunately, they are the ones passing and imposing irresponsible and reckless legislation.

Unemployment checks, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday with a straight face, create jobs "faster than almost any other initiative you can name." AP

Leadership: With their own economic policies in complete disarray, Democrats have turned to a tried-and-true tactic: Blame the opposition for your failure. It may be too late — their incompetence is starting to show.

Recent events, along with the continued bleeding of the U.S. economy and Wall Street, underscore the desperation of the party in power to escape responsibility for its failures.

Case in point: The president, speaking in Wisconsin on Wednesday, lashed out at Republicans: "We already tried the other side's ideas. We already know where their theories led us. And now we have a choice as a nation."

We must have missed the Democrats' attempt to enact broad-based tax cuts, for instance, to boost the economy like they did each time they've been tried in the past. Truth is, "the other side's ideas" have been studiously ignored in our financial crisis and recession.

Unemployment remains close to 9.7% and, based on even White House estimates, is unlikely to improve much. Vice President Joe Biden himself has noted that, under current Democratic policies, "there's no possibility to restore 8 million jobs lost in the Great Recession."

Of course, he too blames the GOP, though his party has controlled Congress since 2006 and its earlier policies, such as the Community Reinvestment Act and the creation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, were responsible for the 2007-08 financial meltdown.

Democrats like to style themselves as the party of the little guy. But small businesses are going bankrupt in droves while unemployment among black males is averaging 16.3% — well above last year's 14.8%. In March, 1.8 million African-American men were without work — the most on record.

Now we see signs the economy's improvement may soon stall — and perhaps even slide backwards. On Thursday, we learned that June auto sales dropped 4.3% while May pending home sales plunged 30%. Consumer confidence has fallen sharply, and financial markets are in a tailspin.

Also this week, the Congressional Budget Office reported that federal debt by year-end will soar to 62% of GDP — highest since World War II, when the U.S. went deeply into the red and killed off the private economy in order to beat the Nazis.

Worse, the CBO said debt will hit 87% of GDP by 2020, rise above its record peak of 109% by 2025 and hit a stunning — and financially ruinous — 185% by 2035.

CBO chief Doug Elmendorf told the White House's deficit commission this week that those rising levels of debt, fueled by uncontrolled federal spending, might lead to "higher interest rates, more foreign borrowing, less private investment and lower income growth, if not a full-blown fiscal crisis."

While there's been modest job growth this year, business groups such as the Chamber of Commerce and Business Roundtable warn that government policies of higher taxes and big spending will squeeze future private-business sales.

Without private-sector growth, there will be no recovery and no sustained rebound in job creation. Compassion for the little guy comes from understanding this very simple point — not from pointing fingers and mouthing vacuous economic platitudes.

The fact is, $700 billion in TARP bailouts, $862 billion in economic "stimulus," $70 billion in auto industry aid, $1.2 trillion in Fed money-printing and $146 billion spent on bailing out insolvent government mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have done nothing to restore our economy's vigor.

This is among the most incompetent series of economic policy moves in U.S. history — all the more unforgivable because similar Keynesian pump-priming was tried during the Great Depression and in the 1970s, failing miserably each time.

On Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said unemployment checks create "jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name."
We are not making this up. This is what passes for economic wisdom in the Democratic Party.

The current mess is a result of policies in place now — not those put in place years ago. Watching this nightmare unfold, and then listening to our leaders blame the opposition, is getting more grotesque by the day.
